Jenny Moore

Associate Director

Jenny became Associate Director for HandMade in America in 2006. She works closely with all program directors and development efforts to ensure HandMade’s efforts align with its mission.

She is also the project manager for the Craft, Architecture and Design Program, which was created to help craft artists find new markets in the building industry.

Betty Hurst

Director of Rural Entrepreneurship

Betty has served the communities of Western North Carolina since 2001, when she first joined HandMade.

Today she is the Director of Rural Entrepreneurship and is the project manager for the Appalachian Women Entrepreneurs Program, which helps women throughout the region with business development efforts.

Norma Bradley

Director of Education

Norma joined HandMade in America in 2001.

As Director of Education Norma oversees and coordinates the Craft Across The Curriculum Program, which aims to integrate the arts into school curriculum and to utilize craft and art as a means of learning.

She also oversees and coordinates the exhibit at the North Carolina I-26 Visitors Center in Madison County.

Judi Jetson

Director of Small Towns Program

As Small Towns Program Coordinator, Judi manages the operations of the 13 towns participating in the program.

Judi joined HandMade in 2010 and she assists the communities with work planning, grant management and technical assistance with organization, design, promotion and economic development.

Donna Abranches

Director of Operations

Donna came to HandMade in America as Director of Operations in 2002. She is in charge of overall office management and is responsible for management of personnel, payroll, budget, financials, grant packaging, financial reporting, and project and database management.

Megan Williams

Administrative Manager

Starting in 2009 as Administrative Assistant for HandMade in America, Megan oversees the online Craft Registry and Online Trip Planner, manages the website, assists with various programs, and coordinates various newsletters and databases.
